Chinese New Year 2012 is over!

Last nite was the final night (officially ending Chinese New Year celebrations). Its tradition to have dinner with loved ones and after that, play some fireworks. I had my epic dinner at my uncles place and then went home to find many people are posting photos of fireworks online in facebook. So I decided to shoot some as well. I had some fireworks left lying about from a decade ago, so I gave it a few clicks.

Me trying to be different. Everyone else was shooting the sky and city scape, I'm low on the ground about meters away. So close you can feel the blast.

I love watching movies at the cinema. Therefore a while back I created a group in facebook for me and my friends who share the same love of watching movies. So we can better coordinate movie watching and such. Since everyone has a facebook account and smart phones.

As my parents are out of town. I had to send some stuff up to the farm. Brought along my camera to see if I came across anything interesting to shoot :) Lively puppy. Looking way better than 2 weeks ago.

Dolls and Such at Full House

As I had a late morning the night before I was not sure I was going to make it to yum cha session with my cosfriends. They gathered at FullHouse Lifestyle Store and Cafe at Hills Shopping mall around 1pm or so. I arrived around 2+ to find actual dolls. I was given the impression that they would doll up. Haha! Cool, nevertheless.

These dolls look good, with most of the major joints movable. So you basically can pose them how ever you want. But due to the big head and hair, its kinda top heavy.

First off, Happy new year dear readers! I hope you had as much fun as I did for the count down last night!

Actually I was working. Taking photos at Pargon X3 last night. Me and Desmond finished shooting around 3am. And when we got out we notice something, still on going.

Paku Waterfall, Mulu

After lunch and resting from the morning's adventure, I headed off to Paku Waterfall which was in between Deer Cave and the Canopy Walk.

Before I went off, I put my name down at the white board at the Park Office, in case I got lost in the jungle. hehe.

Clearwater Cave, Mulu

After about 15 mins break we continued towards Clearwater cave or locally known as Gua Air Jernih.

The first obstacle was a 200 step staircase upwards to the entrance. Which was quite taxing. Walking on some what flat surface is one thing, doing steps is another. And the steps were not your standard sized steps. But I made it to the top. After a few brief stops. Glad I made the climb.

Wind Cave, Mulu National Park

After more months flying by I'm still trying my best to clear my back log, which is amazing because I'm jobless and you would think I have all the free time in the world! So I will try my best to channel myself into my mood when I was there.

So here is the entrance to the hostel, Tongkat Ali. =)

In any case, the journey continues the next day. I think I did mention that my super affordable accomodations, comes with breakfast at the canteen. That serves pretty decent local food. After a quick meal I got my camera gear ready, and headed out to the docks. As the days journey starts with an hour's worth of boat ride, and because it was raining heavily, progress as a bit slow.
