Just back

Just landed back in Kuching today after a weekend over at Miri. I was there for work and also over the weekend paid for my own accommodations and such to see the Miri annual drag race.

Escalators and Japanese Food in Brunei

Yesterday I took a road trip down to Brunei wth Irene, Cynthina, Roland and Daniel. Was suppose to go last trip but, I kinda forgot to bring my passport.

I was glad i made the trip. Thanks to Roland for driving us up. And keeping us safe~

After entering the border, we headed to Empire Hotel & Country Club for a looksie.

It was really big and really grand hotel. Here are some pics I took with my Nikon d300.

another slow sunday

Its now 11th of October. Nearly middle of the month already. And I have not updated much in the journal. I did shoot a few portraits and two events. I have not published or post processed the portraits because the rest of the guys are not ready. And we kind of agreed to publish everything together.

Besides that I’m now in Miri. and sitting at Halo Cafe waiting for time to go back to Kuching. I guess everyone is busy, and it was my own fault to buy the tickets before informing my friends of my plans. So they already made their plans and I’m here alone. AHAHA!

Which is good because I can catch up in some facebook gaming. LOL. ever hear of Mafia Wars? Been wanting to play that for a while now. But I guess soon I will have more time to play it. xD

Its a bright and sunny day over here in Miri. I’m enjoying my pot of lavender tea. Playing facebook games and chatting with friends. Its warm and I’m listening to great music. This is very very relaxing and enjoyable. Only thing that kind of annoys me is that I have forgotten to bring my mouse along. So I been moving the cursor about with my fingers for the past 3 hours. Its becoming a bit tiring to say the least. Well 1 more hour to go before I go to the airport and wait another hour.. take a 1 hour plus flight back to Kuching. All in all another 4 hours to kill. Lucky for me I got my pink PSP with me. AHAHA!

Now all that I’m missing is my mouse!

its been a long long week

I’m updating the journal from Miri. I’m now in my Inn room. Tired and exhausted. Since my last posting. I was in Bintulu, yesterday morning. Arriving at 8am. Wallace came to pick me 10 mins later. The last time I was in Bintulu airport, I was able to plug in my laptop charger to the wall socket and sit and do some work. This time around they seem to have removed all the chairs/benches. ~_~ I guess the management do not want people to hang around at the airport. Oh and my trip to I was using Mas Wings, on the Aeropatiale/Alenia. I was quite surprise with it. Slightly tight around the shoulders but enough leg room. I’m not a tall person but if I was on a AirAsia flight, my knees will be almost touching the front seats. The best part was during the safety briefing. Up from the overhead, popped out 2.5” LCD screens, screening the safety briefing. heh~ okay back to the story of hunting for power.

So Wallace and I went to have our breakfast, and then went on to look for a place where I can charge my stuff and do a bit of paperwork. So we thought of KFC. Aparantly there was only one in Bintulu, a 24 hours outlet! We do not even have that in Kuching.

portraits in miri

I was in Miri a few weeks back and had the good fortune to meet up with a few photographers in Miri. Also I was lucky enough as Irene arranged for a portrait shooting on Saturday morning.

DaSolve and Irene came by the cat hotel to pick me up. And we drove up to meet the two pretty models Alice and Hui Hui.

This is ALICE

This is Hui Hui

When we reached the park the sun was no where to be seen and there was a lot of grey cloud over the park. DaSolve quickly whipped out the reflector and we tried our best to direct the models, turns out me and DaSolve were quite clueless about posing the models, well especially me. The poses in the gallery is all DaSolve's hardwork :D

After about an hour the weather was warming up. So we all decided to take some rest, as everyone was sweating. So Irene suggested that we move to another location. A hotel! sweet, air condition. Only question on our minds was if the management would not allow us to do shoot in their lobby. Anyways we went over and gave it our best effort.
